Digital, Self-Paced Financial Education from EverFi

Throughout April, we are celebrating Financial Capability Month by featuring a variety of financial education programs and resources that you can put to use in your classroom right away. The 11th in this series is the financial education resources from Everfi. Are you embracing the power of technology in teaching students? Do you offer students the opportunity to learn at their own pace using digital tools? If so, Everfi's digital financial education tools could be great additions to your toolkit.  If not, well - then - perhaps EverFi’s tools can help you get started. The programs are offered free to teachers across Pennsylvania through the generous sponsorship of many financial institutions. Teachers must simply register for an account with EVERFI to get started.EverFi Financial Education ProgramsEverFi’s offers the following financial education programs for students and educators:laptop screen with Vault program being usedVault - Understanding Money (grades 4-6) This three-hour program is designed to help students navigate financial decisions. Games are unlocked as students progress through the modules and make applying their learning fun. Find out more by reading the information sheet or watching the overview video. screen showing EverFi FutureSmartFutureSmart (grades 6-8) Students play the mayor of a town and make decisions in this 3.5-hour interactive program. Last year, a representative from EverFi shared information about FurtureSmart on a Making Cents professional development webinar. You can check out the recording of that presentation, download an information sheet, or watch a brief overview video for more information.  EverFi Financial Literacy Overview Page 1EVERFI Financial Literacy (grades 9-12) - This engaging, online resource uses video, animations, and interactive activities to bring complex financial concepts to life. Student progress is tracked throughout the program’s nine modules. The complete program will take students between six and eight hours to complete. Educator MicroCredential (teachers) - Educators can sign up to join a cohort of teachers seeking to become EverFi Certified Teachers. The spring window has closed, but registration for the fall will open August 12, 2018. Learn more about the program here.
