Investing in Tumultuous Times: A 2020 Recap and Key Takeaways
Webinar Date: April 8, 2021
Description: We’ve all heard it, but it is true. 2020 was, indeed, unprecedented. From the spread and deadliness of the COVID-19 virus to stay-at-home orders to an incredible shift in the delivery of education, 2020 was truly a year like no other. The same could be said of investing in 2020. Stock markets saw record plummets followed by record recoveries and often defied expectations. In this webinar, we recapped what happened in the stock market in 2020 and what lessons students (and adults) can take from it. In particular, we explored how students might analyze data from 2020 to support or dispel common investing advice.
Presenter: Hilary Hunt, Making Cents PA Project Director
